Our project will create more than 6,000 jobs, many more indirect and induced jobs but above all will revitalize this region. The Jatropha will improve the fertility of soils and help to fight desertification, which in the long run will enable people to preserve their cultivable lands.

We will also encourage any educational or social project that could improve the conditions of the locals.

First, jatropha can only grow in subtropical and tropical areas, so Europe in not suitable. Secondly, due to climate conditions, a tree in these countries can absorb carbon dioxide over a larger period than in temperate climate. Finally, a project in a developed country has a bigger social and economic impact than in Europe.

For all these reasons, treedoo has chosen this project in Madagascar in the Bogolavan region.
